The Vocal Booth
My studio is primarily used for recording vocals, so I have aptly named it the Vocal Booth
Over the years I have recorded in studios from 2 track to 128 track, using some of the very best gear in
the world. My studio is a home based one since with the latest digital equipment you can record amazing material in much
smaller spaces; having said that you still need first class tools to work with; so for the technically minded here is a list
of what you will find in The Vocal Booth.
A Korg D1600 16 track Digital Studio Suite with two built in FX processors. An SE 3300A microphone inside
of an SE Electronics Reflection Filter Vocal Booth. A Tascam CDRW 900SL CD recorder, a Sony MDSE11 professional
mini-disc recorder, and a Fostex D5 DAT recorder. A Focusrite
Voicemaster Pro Processor, a Sony MDS JE510 Mini Disc recorder, an Onkyo Pro Cassette deck. For monitoring I have
Panasonic and Samson studio headphones a Sony Studio amp and Canon Studio monitors with sub. For duplication I
use a Wytron 1 - 7 CD/DVD duplicator, and for printing onto CD's an Espon R300 on CD printer. Finally for printing
the CD cover I use an Epson RX585 photo printer.
